25 September 2018 :
Three Egyptian men were sentenced to death on September 24, 2018 by the Criminal Court after being convicted of killing their compatriot in Amman in December 2015.
The court declared the defendants guilty of killing their colleague in late 2015 following an argument about guard duties in Jabal Luweibdeh and handed them the maximum punishment.
A judicial source told The Jordan Times that the court decided to hand them the death penalty after establishing that “they plotted the murder and bought the knives”.
The court verdicts will automatically be reviewed by the Court of cassation within the next 30 days.
