PAKISTAN: ANOTHER DEATH ROW CONVICT HANGED IN BAHAWALPUR

A death row convict was sent to the gallows at the New Central Jail Bahawalpur early in the morning, Dunya News reported.
According to details, death row prisoner Nadeem alias Nadeemi Pathan was executed for killing Mir Zaheerul Hassan Tirmizi in 1997. Nadeem’s dead body was later handed over to his relatives. Nadeem was member of a banned organization. Since the de facto ban on capital punishment ended on 17 December 2014, at least 293 people, including twenty-six convicted terrorists, have been executed across the country.
