PAKISTAN: MAN AWARDED DEATH SENTENCE FOR MURDER

04 June 2012 :

A court in Pakistan awarded a death sentence to a man for murder. Additional District and Sessions Judge Mushtaq Elahi sentenced to death Adeel Liaquat and imposed a fine of Rs200,000 on him. Liaqat had shot Nabeel Amjad over an alleged affair with his mother, Nagina Bibi, in 2009.
The court released two other accused giving them benefit of doubt. He released co-accused Nagina Bibi and Nabeel Kashif.
