Another murder convict, Zulfiqar Ali, was hanged at the Kot Lakhpat Jail of Lahore, raising the total number of executions to 100 since Pakistan reversed the self-imposed moratorium on the death penalty in December 2014 after the Taliban school massacre. He was convicted of killing two people in 1998, gunning them down during a robbery attempt in Islamabad.
