PAKISTAN: THREE MURDER CONVICTS HANGED IN DIFFERENT JAILS, ANOTHER ESCAPES THE NOOSE

Three death-row prisoners convicted of murder were executed in Pakistan in different jails and another escaped the noose.
As per details, a death-row prisoner Shabbir was hanged to death in Haripur Central Jail.
Shabbir was convicted of murdering a trader in 1997 in Rawalpindi.
On the other hand, a death-row prisoner Allah Ditta was hanged to death in Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat Central Jail. Allah Ditta was convicted of murder 13 years ago.
A man convicted of murder was executed at the Central Jail in Faisalabad. A Prisons Department spokesperson said Muhammad Ashfaq, son of Ali Muhammad, was convicted of killing Waheed Anwar in 1999 over a family feud. His sentence was upheld by the Supreme Court. A plea against the sentence was turned down by the president.
The death-row prisoners met their families for the last time. The bodies were handed over to the heirs.
Meanwhile, a death-row prisoner Abbas escaped the noose after the plaintiff forgave him.
Since the de facto ban on capital punishment ended on 17 December 2014 until 16 September 2015, at least 239 people have been executed across the country.
