PAKISTAN. TWO CONVICTED TERRORISTS HANGED IN MULTAN JAIL

02 April 2007 :

two convicted terrorists, Abdul Jabbar and Shahsawar, were hanged in Multan's New Central Jail, Pakistan, in the presence of a local magistrate, a medical officer and jail staff.
Jail superintendent Malik Mubashir Hassan said “We have executed two activists of a banned sectarian outfit, who were involved in the murder of a constable. Their bodies have been handed over to their relatives.”
The Anti Terrorism Court in Bahawalpur headed by Mukhtar Ali Siyal issued the death sentences on July 25,1997. The High Court and Supreme Court of Pakistan rejected their appeals, and their mercy petitions were rejected by the President.
