SAUDI ARABIA: TWO TERRORISTS SENTENCED TO DEATH

The Criminal court in Saudi Arabia sentenced two members of Al Qaeda for plotting to hijack a plane in 2006, a local daily Arabic paper reported.
The three-member jury also handed down jail sentences to other members of the terror cell ranging from 2 to 25 years behind bars including a travel ban.
There were 36 terrorist group members who received the sentences. The charges against them were; firing at security officials, throwing bombs at them, plotting to hijack a plane to carry out suicide missions, planning to travel to Afghanistan to join Al-Qaeda, taking part in fighting, receiving arms training, terror funding, escaping from jail together with other terrorists, encouraging people to join Al-Qaeda, making bombs to attack security officials, and illegal possession of weapons.
