The Somali military court on 17 November 2022 executed two former government soldiers by firing squad for murders committed in Kismayo, the administrative capital of Jubbaland regional state.
Saudi authorities on 7 January 2026 ccarried out the execution of three citizens in a mass execution, carried out under discretionary (taʿzir) rulings based on judicial interpretation, as part of the escalating wave of political executions in the Kingdom.
