The Central Military Court of First Instance in the capital Sanaa sentenced Ali Mohammed Ahmed al-Maghrabi to death for killing three soldiers and injuring 16 others.
The court’s verdict convicted al-Maghrabi of murdering Mohammed Hashim Hussein Al-Seraji, Fekri Abdullah Abdulghani Al-Rashedi and Mohammed Abdullah Ahmed Al-Ameri and injuring 16 others, according to the state-run Yemen News Agency (Saba).
The court ruled to compensate the victims’ families with 12 million Yemeni Rials.
Al-Maghrabi was accused on October 7, 2017, of throwing a grenade inside a room at the Republican Guard headquarters, killing three people and wounding 16 others.
