BANGLADESH: 4 SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR KILLING TRADER

A Mymensingh court sentenced four men to death for killing chicken trader Abdur Razzak Fakir of Tarakanda, Madhupur.
Additional district and sessions judge Zahirul Kabir handed down the verdict.
The convicts are Mir Jahan, 25, Emdadul Haque, 23, Anisur Rahman, 22 and Ziaul Islam, 23.
According to prosecution, in the night of October 15, 2008, the convicts intercepted chicken trader Abdur Razzak Fakir of Tarakanda, Madhupur on the way to home from the market. At one stage, they stabbed him to death and snatched Tk15,000 from him.
Later, his elder brother Hazrat Ali Fakir filed a murder case against the accused.
