a tourism official in southwest China's Sichuan Province is appealing to a higher court after being sentenced to death for drug trafficking, Life News reported. Luobu Wojie, 42, and two other men bought six heroin bars weighing 2,159 grams, but he was caught transporting them at a police checkpoint. Because he was the leader, Wojie was sentenced to death on April 7 by the Intermediate Court of Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture.(Sources: Shanghai Daily, 02/06/2009)
