CHINA: HENAN'S FIRST DRUNK-DRIVING DEATH SENTENCE HANDED OUT

15 September 2009 :

a drunk driver who killed eight and injured three in two fatal accidents in Huaxian, in China’s Henan province, was sentenced to death by the People's court of Huaxian for jeopardising public safety. On January 24, Wei Fazhao fatally hit an elderly couple while intoxicated. He kept driving and later hit eight villagers in a second accident, killing six of them and injuring two.
