two men were sentenced to death for assassinating a top political adviser in Lianjiang city, Guangdong, China, over what police said was the official's failure to hold up his end of a bribery deal. A third man was given a death sentence, suspended for two years, and a fourth gang member was jailed for 11 years, Xinhua reported. Huang Zhaoluan, 43, the deputy head of Lianjiang's Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, was stabbed repeatedly outside his home on October 20.
