a Filipino woman was given the death penalty with a two year reprieve after being found guilty by a Chinese court of trafficking four bags of cocaine. The Intermediate People’s Court of Guilin City in Guangxi found that Hasel Manuel Amosig smuggled 1,489 grams of cocaine from Thailand into south China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The woman took Flight PG821 from Bangkok in Thailand to Guilin on the night of March 11, and was stopped by Customs officers at Liangjiang International Airport in Guilin.
