October 2, 2024 - IRAN. 3 men executed in Shiraz on October 2

According to a report received by Hengaw, on the morning of Wednesday, October 2, 2024, Abbas Khodayari and Seyed Naser Hosseini, both sentenced to death on drug-related charges, were executed at Shiraz Central Prison (Adelabad). Earlier, Hengaw reported that the death sentence of Bakhtiari Lur prisoner Mohammad Chaman Pira, a Shiraz resident convicted of rape and murder, had also been carried out at Shiraz Central Prison. Informed sources revealed that Khodayari and Hosseini were arrested three years ago in a joint drug-related case.
To date, Iranian state media have not reported the execution of these prisoners.
