December 28, 2025 - IRAN. 3 men executed on December 28
Babak Saraei, Hamidreza Shojaei, Akbar Jahani
According to Hengaw, during the early hours of December 28, 2025 the following persons were executed:
- Babak Saraei, a 32-year-old man from Shahriar in Tehran province, was executed in Qom Central Prison. He had been arrested three years earlier following a workplace altercation and was later sentenced to death.
- Hamidreza Shojaei, 34, a Turkish man from Tabriz, was executed in Tabriz Central Prison on a murder charge after 5 years of detention.
- Akbar Jahani, 27, a Turkish man from Tabriz, was executed in Tabriz Central Prison on a murder charge after 4 years of detention.
These executions have not been announced by state media.
