June 5, 2026 - IRAN. 4 men executed in Isfahan
Mohammad Ghasem Abdehvand, Rahim Ghanbari, Faraj Amjadi and Reza Pedram Asivand
According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, three men were hanged in Isfahan (Dastgerd) Central Prison on 3 June 2026. Their identities have been established as 33-year-old Mohammad Ghasem Abdehvand, 38-year-old Rahim Ghanbari, both Masjed Soleiman natives and Farokh Amjadi, a 46-year-old father of two from Khomeini Shahr.
Mohammad Ghasem and Rahim were co-defendants arrested around two years ago and Farokh was arrested four years ago. They were all sentenced to death on drug-related charges.
Another man was hanged at the prison on 5 June. His identity has been established as 31-year-old Reza Pedram Asivand, a Jonghan native who was from the Asivand Bakhtiari tribe. He was arrested around four years ago on drug-related charges.
At the time of writing, none of their executions have been reported by domestic media.
