June 17, 2026 - IRAN. 6 more men executed in Yazd Prison

On June 17, the death sentences of 8 prisoners convicted on non-political charges were carried out in Yazd Prison.

According to Rasank, two of those executed have been identified as Omar Shahbakhsh, approximately 24 years old and a native of Zahedan, and Ghafour Shahbakhsh, approximately 25 years old, married and the father of one child, also from Zahedan.

Other sources, including HoC, had already reported the execution of Omar and Ghafour Shahbakhsh, although they had dated it as 16 June.

The Haalvsh website, which specialises in news from Kurdistan, believes that, in addition to the two Shahbakhsh, six other men were executed on the same day in the same prison for non-political offences.

The Haalvsh report did not provide their identities or any details regarding their cases.

At the time of writing, the executions had not been reported by the media within Iran.
