December 9, 2023 - Abdul Basit Gorgich (Gorgij) and Abdul Aziz Shahlibur (Shahlibar) executed in Zahedan on December 9.
According to reports received by Hengaw, at dawn on Saturday, December 9, 2023, 2 Baloch prisoners, Abdul Basit Gorgich (33 years old) from Zahedan and Abdul Aziz (Hemel) Shahlibur (34 years old) from Dalgan city, were executed at the central prison of Zahedan.
Abdul Basit Gorgich, a father of two children, was arrested four years ago on charges related to drug-related crimes, and Abdul Aziz Shahlibur, a father of three children, was arrested five years ago on charges of murder in Bampur city. He was released in 2022 and arrested again at his home in September of the same year. Shahlibur was sentenced to death by Zahedan Criminal Court.
As of the time of reporting this news, the execution of these two Baloch prisoners has not been officially announced in government media
