December 17, 2025 - IRAN. Alireza Soltani and Naser Ayoubi executed in Tabriz on December 17.

According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, two men were hanged in Tabriz Central Prison on 17 December 2025. Their identities have been established as Alireza Soltani, 49, a Turkish man from Tabriz, and Naser Ayoubi, 28, a Turkish man from Hashtrud.

Informed sources told IHR that Alireza was arrested for the murder of his cousin ten years ago, and Naser was arrested for an “honour killing” around four years ago.

At the time of writing, their executions have not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
