October 26, 2023 - Amir Hossein Dashtban executed in Tabriz on October 26.
The death sentence of Amir Hossein Dashtban, a 22-year-old resident of Yengejeh village in Azarshahr county, was carried out at the Tabriz Central Prison.
According to a report obtained by Hengaw, this execution took place at dawn on Thursday, October 26, 2023. Dashtban had been arrested on May 4, 2020, on charges of murder. Remarkably, he was only 18 years, 6 months, and 21 days old when he committed the crime.
A source close to Dashtban's family revealed that a burial ceremony was held for him on Thursday afternoon in his birthplace.
The news of Amir Hossein Dashtban's execution has not been reported in government-affiliated media at the time of preparing this report.
