The death sentences of two prisoners whose identities have been confirmed as Asghar Abdullah Parikhani and Abbas Faraj Oghli, were executed Ardabil province. These two prisoners were previously sentenced to death for drug-related charges.
According to the report received by Hengaw, the death sentence of Asghar Abdullah Parikhani, 28 years old and a resident of Meshgin Shahr, was carried out in the central prison of Meshgin Shahr at dawn on Friday, December 29, 2023.
According to a source, Asghar Abdullah Parikhani was arrested 4 years ago for drug-related charges and then sentenced to death.
Before that, the death sentence of Abbas Faraj Oghli, 30 years old and from Parsabad, Ardabil province, was carried out in the same prison on the morning of Monday, December 25, 2023. Oghli was arrested 3 years ago on drug charges.
So far, the report of the execution of these two prisoners has not been announced in the Iranian state media.
