November 15, 2023 - At least three men executed in Karaj on November 15
Bagher (Baqer) Mohammadi Geravand, Nazir Mohammad (Mohammadi) + Unk.
According to information obtained by IHR, at least three men were executed in Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj on 15 November. Two of the men’s identities have been established as Bagher Mohammadi Geravand, 40, and Nazir Mohammad (Mohammadi), an Afghan national. The third man’s identity has not been established at the time of writing.
All three men were sentenced to death for drug-related charges. According to Hengaw, Nazir Mohammad was instead sentenced for murder. They were transferred for execution in a group of ten. There is no news about the fate of the other seven men at this time.
At the time of writing, their executions have not been reported by Iranian media.
