The death sentence of Aydin Emami, a Turkish prisoner of Azerbaijan imprisoned in Zanjan prison who was previously sentenced to death on charges of intentional murder, has been executed.
According to the report received by Hengaw, at dawn on Monday, July 17, 2023, the death sentence of a prisoner named Aydin Emami was executed in Safarabad prison in Zanjan (Zanjan Province) for murder.
Until the time of writing this news, the news of Aydin Emami's execution had not been announced in the government media.
Other sources in recent days have reported the execution of a man with a similar name, Mojtaba Emami, on the same date and for the same crime, but in a different prison, that of Tir Kola, in Sari, Mazandaran province. HoC will try to verify in the next few days if it is the same execution, or two different executions.
