December 15, 2025 - IRAN. Ehsan Nadimi and Reza Shokouri executed in Rasht on December 15

According to information received by Hengaw, the death sentences of Ehsan Nadimi, 46, from Bandar Anzali, and Reza Shokouri, approximately 50, from Rasht, were carried out at dawn on December 15, 2025, in Lakan Prison in Rasht. Nadimi had been imprisoned five years earlier following a dispute over agricultural land that resulted in a murder conviction. Shokouri had been detained for three years on similar charges.

The executions were not announced by Iranian state media.
