November 2, 2025 - IRAN. Elias Rahimpour and Ali Shabani executed in Qom on November 2

According to information Iran Human Rights obtained on November 23, two men were hanged in Qom Central Prison on 2 November 2025. Their identities have been established as 29-year-old Elias Rahimpour from Varamin in Tehran, and 25-year-old Ali Shabani from Eslamshahr. They were both sentenced for murder.

A source told IHR: “Elias was arrested for killing an individual in a fight around four years ago, and Ali was arrested for killing two people in a fight around two years ago.”

At the time of writing, their executions have not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
