October 5, 2025 - IRAN. Erfan Afzali executed in Sari on October 5

Erfan Afzali, a 42-year-old Gilak man from Rasht and father of two, was executed at dawn on October 5, 2025, in Sari Central Prison after being convicted of drug-related charges.

Iran’s state media have not reported the execution.
