IRAN. FIVE HANGED FOR DRUG TRAFFICKING

Iran hanged five men convicted of drug trafficking in the northeastern province of Khorasan Razavi province.
The men, whose names did not appear in the report by the Etemad-Melli daily, were hanged in a prison for trafficking more than 120 kilograms (about 260 pounds) of narcotics.
The execution brings to at least 122 the number of people executed in Iran this year, according to an AFP tally based on press and witness reports.
