January 31, 2024 - Hossein Habibi executed in Urmia on January 31
According to information obtained by IHR and Hrana, 2 prisoners were executed in Urmia Central Prison (Darya) on January 31.
One of the prisoners, whose execution had already been reported, was named Mehdi Azarioun (Azarioon, Azaryoun), and was on death row for the murder of her sister’s husband. The other man was Hossein Habibi, he too sentenced for murder.
At the time of writing, these executions have not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
