October 27, 2025 - IRAN. Hosseinali Montazeri executed in Semnan on October 27

Authorities at Semnan Central Prison executed Hosseinali Montazeri, a resident of Pakdasht near Tehran, at dawn on 27 October 2025. Montazeri had been detained on drug-related accusations.

State media had not reported the execution.
