October 23, 2025 - IRAN. M.A. executed in Ghezel-Hesar on October 23
An execution took place in Ghezel-Hesar Prison in Karaj, where a prisoner identified only as M.A. was executed on October 23. According to the Legal Affairs Deputy of Iran’s Law Enforcement Command, M.A. had been arrested seven years earlier on charges of killing Second Lieutenant Asadollah Khazaei. Reports indicate that while fleeing in a stolen vehicle on the Khademabad–Shahriar road, the prisoner ignored police warnings to stop and struck the officer, who later died from severe injuries and internal bleeding.
