December 23, 2025 - IRAN. Mahdieh Keyhani executed in Hamedan on December 23

Iranian authorities carried out the execution of a Turkish woman, Mahdieh Keyhani, in Hamedan Central Prison.

Information received by Hengaw indicates that the execution was carried out in the early hours of December 23, 2025. Keyhani, 41, was from Tabriz and was executed in Hamedan Central Prison. She had been arrested five years ago in Hamedan on charges of killing her husband.

According to data recorded by the Women’s Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (Wncri), with the execution of Mahdieh Keyhani, the number of women executed in Iran in 2025 has reached 63.

State-run media have not announced the execution.
