an Iranian man convicted of murder and armed robberies was hanged in public in the southern city of Shiraz, the official news agency IRNA reported."Mozafar Zare has been convicted of 12 counts of armed robbery, a case of kidnapping and a murder which took place more than two years ago," the head of local judiciary, Ahmad Siavoshpour, was quoted as saying.
"We are not proud of hanging, but we can not stand still while people's peace of mind is endangered," he added.
