October 29, 2023 - Shamsollah Banani (Banayie) executed in Ahar on October 29
According to information obtained by IHR, a man was executed in Ahar Prison on 29 October. His identity has been established as 42-year-old Shamsollah Banani from from Takestan, Qazvin province. He was sentenced for murder.
A source told IHR: “Shamsollah Banani was arrested three years ago and sentenced to qisas. He was accused of murder over financial issues.”
At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by media inside Iran.
