(July 22, 2023) - Unnamed man executed in Qom on uncertain date. Likely on July 22.
State media have reported on June 30 the execution of an unnamed man for rape charges in Qom Central Prison.
According to Fars news agency, a man was executed in Qom Central Prison in the month of Tir (22 June-22 July). The report does not specify his identity or the exact date of the execution.
The unnamed man alleged to have “kidnapped, raped and robbed female travellers.”
A source told IHR: “This man’s execution was carried out on 22 July. A murder death row prisoner was also transferred to the gallows with him but was returned to his cell after obtaining an extension in his case.”
