October 19, 2023 - Vahid Rashidi Garavand executed in Aligudarz on October 19.
According to information obtained by IHR, at least one man was executed in Aligudarz Prison, in Lorestan province, on 19 October. His identity has been established as Vahid Rashidi Garavand, who was sentenced to death for drug-related charges.
There are reports that at least one other man was executed along with Vahid which IHR has not been able to verify at the time of writing. It continues to investigate the reports.
At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported inside Iran.
