31 January 2018 :

A woman - Mahboubeh Mofidi - was executed for murder in the northern city of Noshahr. She had been held on death row since four years ago.
The woman’s family tried very much to prevent this execution, to no avail and the woman was executed at dawn in Noshahr Prison.
Iran has the highest rate of executions per capita in the world. At least 82 women and 24 juveniles have been executed during Rouhani’s tenure. Nevertheless, the true figures are definitely higher as most executions in Iran are carried out in secret.
