An Iraqi security source revealed that there are more than 3000 ISIS terrorists who have been sentenced to death without carrying out the punishment, Shiawaves reported on 2nd June 2020.
The source said, "Iraqi prisons are almost crowded with ISIS terrorists who have been arrested in recent years, and more than three thousands of them have been sentenced to death for many months, but the punishment has not been carried out against them."
It added that some of the terrorists were handed over by the Syrian Democratic Forces to the Iraqi forces a year ago.
Earlier, the head of the Security and Defense Committee in the former Iraqi parliament, Hakim al-Zamili, demanded the implementation of death sentences against convicted terrorists.
