“Malaysian Ong Kim Fatt’s execution is taking place after all avenues to commute his sentence were exhausted,” said MCA Public Services and Complaints Department head Datuk Michael Chong. “But we are grateful that the Chinese government granted him his last wish of seeing his family members,” he said. Chong said that Bukit Bintang MCA chairman Datuk Dr Lee Chong Meng had accompanied Ong’s two brothers to Xiamen on Monday to visit Ong.
