PAKISTAN: TWO SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR AHMADI WORSHIP PLACE ATTACK

In Pakistan, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) awarded death sentence to two militants for their role in 2010 bomb and gun attack on an Ahmadi worship place in Lahore.
The two convicts, Maawia and Abdullah, were handed the sentence on seven counts.
Both the militants are members of proscribed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
The horrific attack was carried out in Lahore’s Model Town and Garhi Shahu localities simultaneously on May 28, 2010 against Ahmadis, killing 86 people and wounding over 150 men and children.
