QATAR: NATIONAL GETS DEATH PENALTY FOR MURDER

a Qatari national was given the death penalty for killing a man during a family dispute and the 12 people involved in the dispute have been sentenced to varying prison terms. The conflict between a Qatari family and a Kuwaiti family with blood ties started in 2007, when a Kuwaiti national was on a business tour here. During his tour, he visited his Qatari relatives.
To his misfortune, he was called names by one of his relatives. He later returned to Kuwait and a fight broke out between the two families, during which one was killed and several people from both sides were injured. Police arrested the people involved in the fight.
The prosecution charged them with manslaughter and assault.
