19 December 2006 :
a press conference was held in Rome to mark the launch of the 2007 campaign for membership to the Radical Party and its umbrella organisations, including Hands Off Cain, to further the battle for civil and human rights.Among the participants was Cesare Salvi, President of the Justice Commission at the Italian Senate, already a member of Hands Off Cain and the Transnational Radical Party, who announced he would be renewing his membership to the Luca Coscioni Association, an NGO devoted to the promotion of the freedom of scientific research.
Radical Party members are surely not poor in spirit and stand out politically for the passion they put into their campaigns, said the singer Dolcenera in renewing her membership to Hands Off Cain and the Luca Coscioni Association.
“We are possibly the only party which has to appeal to subscriptions and to individual commitment, compared with other parties which have at their disposal funds whose origin is not always clear. We call out to those who share our beliefs to support us”, stated Italy’s International Trade and European Policies Minister Emma Bonino.
