Saudi Arabia executed three more people between 23 and 24 April, bringing to 68 the number of Saudis and foreigners executed in the kingdom this year.Two Saudi nationals were beheaded on 23 April. Sulaiman al-Jahni, convicted of trafficking amphetamines, was executed in the northern region of Jawf, while authorities in the east separately beheaded Faisal al-Utaibi, who was convicted of murder.
On 24 April, Saudi Arabia executed a Jordanian man in the northwestern region of Tabuk for drug trafficking. Mohammad Abu Samak was arrested “as he was smuggling a large amount of banned amphetamine pills,” the interior ministry said.
