SAUDI ARABIA: FOUR SAUDIS EXECUTED FOR MURDER AND DRUG TRAFFICKING

Four Saudis were executed between April 28 and 30 in three different cities, bringing to 72 the number of death sentences carried out in 2015.
On April 28, Faris al-Qahtani was beheaded in the province of Abha after being convicted of shooting dead a compatriot, Hadi al-Yami, and stealing his money and car.
On April 30, authorities executed Fayez al-Atwi in Riyadh after his conviction for gunning down a security man while he was on duty.
On the same day, Abdullah al-Balawi was beheaded for stabbing his father to death, while Abdullah al-Ruwaili was executed after being found guilty of "smuggling a large amount of banned amphetamine pills." Both Balawi and Ruwaili were executed in the city of Tabuk.
