Saudi Arabia executed Muhammad Bin-Shalal Bin-Farhud al-Shammari, an Iraqi man convicted of trafficking heroin in the strict Muslim kingdom.Malaysia’s Transport minister Loke Siew Fook on April 13, 2026 shut the door on the possibility of introducing the death penalty under the Road Transport Act for cases linked to driving under the influence, despite calls from certain quarters to do so.
