Saudi Arabia executed a Pakistani for murder. The official Saudi Press Agency said the man was convicted of bludgeoning a fellow national to death with a rock.
Former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has demanded in a legal communication to Bangladeshi authorities that the death sentence given to her by a tribunal last year be set aside as “legally void”, and that any further proceedings against her be conducted in compliance with international fair trial standards.
