The official news agency said Naji al-Tharawi, a Saudi, was put to death in the city of Mecca.Malaysia’s Transport minister Loke Siew Fook on April 13, 2026 shut the door on the possibility of introducing the death penalty under the Road Transport Act for cases linked to driving under the influence, despite calls from certain quarters to do so.
