two mob bosses were sentenced to death in Yangjiang, southern China. Xu Jianqiang was also fined 310 million yuan ($45.4 million) for abetting three murders. Lin Guoqin received a two-year reprieve and a 325 million yuan ($47.6 million) fine. The convictions included running casinos, tax evasion, issuing false invoices, extortion and operating illegal businesses. Three others were sentenced to death with a two-year reprieve.
