16 February 2015 :
the newly elected Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf announced today that he has suspended the death penalty until the conclusion of a study on the state capital system, which he judges "ineffective, ineffective, unjust, and expensive."Sergio D’Elia, Secretary of Hands off Cain, commented on the news: "It is a further proof that the US death penalty has become an anachronism of history of which many want to get rid of.
It must also be said – continued D’Elia – that the little of the death penalty that persists is increasingly wrapped in a thick veil of secrecy, as it is happening in some retentionist American states which have recently decided not to reveal to the public the sources of supply and type of drugs used for lethal injection.
This is a final attempt – concluded the Secretary of Hands off Cain – of preventing the awareness-raising actions of abolitionists against the suppliers of these substances."
