USA - Texas. Guy Allen seeking pen pal

A friend of Cain writes to us to report the case of a Texas death row inmate looking for "pen pal".

Subject: PEN PAL wanted

To: info@nessunotocchicaino.it

Good morning,

I ask for your help for a Texas death row inmate who would like to find a pen pal to alleviate loneliness.

In recent months, the lockdown due to Covid has made the living conditions for death row inmates even more inhumane. They truly live buried alive in small cells, without any human contact. He wrote me that he has only had the hour of air twice in the last three months. I have been corresponding with him for more than ten years, he is a decent, dignified and correct person. Here below his request and his photo attached.

Thanks so much for the help!

My name is Guy and I need your help. I'm trying to reduce as much as possible the effects of solitary confinement, which amounts to nothing more than systematic torture. I'm afforded little to no sunlight. I'm not allowed to have contact with any other human beings. And I'm only allowed out of my cell for two hours a day (5 days a week) for recreation, which is in another caged in area. I'm not even allowed a TV! I'm seeking friendships, which would go a long way in helping me to cope with a stressful and anxiety filled life. Although you can’t give me the human contact that I so desperately crave, your friendship can be that smile and ray of sunlight that brightens my days and nights. Would it be too much to ask of you to share a little of your time and life with an oppressed human being? The experience can be fulfilling and life changing for both of us. Why not give me and friendship a chance at happiness? I ask your friendship with honest and sincere intentions. You’ll certainly be making me very happy! Sincerely,

GUY ALLEN # 999473

Hands off Cain on March 20, 2004 had reported the news of the conviction of Allen, accused of killing, in 2002, his partner Barbara Hill, 47, and the woman's daughter, Janette Johnson, 19.
